TEACHING. LEARNING . PHILOSOPHY.

An Innovative and Dynamic Teaching Style
My background in the performing arts has become an important part of my teaching philosophy.
I incorporate music, movement, storytelling, games, hands-on activities, and cultural exploration to make Spanish accessible and engaging for young learners.
I believe children learn most effectively when they are active participants in the learning process.
My goal is to create experiences that allow students to learn naturally while having fun, building confidence, and developing a genuine interest in the Spanish language.
Integrating Global Heritage into Learning
As a native Peruvian and someone who has traveled extensively throughout Latin America (Mexico and South America), I have had the opportunity to experience many different traditions, perspectives, and cultural expressions.
I enjoy sharing these experiences with students and helping them understand that Spanish is much more than a language—it is a connection to a diverse and vibrant world of people, traditions, music, art, history, and communities.
I am especially passionate about creating an environment where students feel welcomed, respected, curious, and confident.
Every child should feel comfortable participating, asking questions, making mistakes, and discovering something new.

For me, teaching Spanish is about creating a foundation that extends beyond the classroom.
I want students to leave each lesson with not only new vocabulary and language skills, but also a greater sense of curiosity about the world and an appreciation for cultures different from their own.
My goal is simple: to make Spanish meaningful, memorable, and enjoyable—while giving students a skill and perspective that can serve them throughout their educational journey and beyond.
